Olympic red t-shirt

May 1, 2008

I’ve just been made aware that tomorrow is a special day where we all get to wear red t-shirts; apparently this has something to do with the Olympics. The same conversation also mentioned that our local shopping mall is giving away red t-shirts in exchange for any valid receipt.

So today, being labour day, we will go visit the shopping mall to buy the cheapest thing possible. In fact we need three receipts. Afterwards we can then go to the bike shop and try to replace the two bikes that were stolen from us a few weeks ago.

UPDATE

There were a few lively discussions whilst in the queue
The queue for the red t-shirts

We were told that 1 reciept could get 1 shirt – not that we everybody had to queue for the whole time. Two of us left the queue to shop for other things leaving one to wait. When we returned the guards wouldn’t let us join the queue with our other family member – nor could we stand at the front of the queue and clam the shirts when they got there.

The pathetic mentality of these guards!

We did finally get the shirts that we had waited for, and I will be wearing mine tomorrow (if it fits).
