I’ve just finished the last book in the three part series. His dark materials is definitely up there with the Lord of the Rings in my books.
It had me gripping on the sides of the book all the way to the… the third from last chapter. I have to say this as by this time the story is over and the characters are cleaning-up their life and getting back to normal. It did turn into a bit of a love story at the end which I wasn’t expecting, and the adam and eve part didn’t really finish as I thought.
All-in-all a terrific story and worth recommending to anyone.
